Privacy notice

These pages show PPG takeoffs, sites and regions derived from the start points of cross-country flights uploaded to xcontest.org between 2014 and 2025, limited to flights with at least 20 XC points.

What is shown

• Aggregated statistics per region, site and takeoff: flight counts, seasons, launch times, distances, points, pilot nationalities and glider models as totals.
• The best flights of each place with date, distance, points, route type and wing class, each linked to its public flight page on XContest. The address of that page contains the pilot’s XContest username.
• Notes from local pilots, reviewed before publication. A contact is shown only when a site manager or tutor offered it for other pilots; it is revealed on click and not stored as plain text on the page.

What is not shown

• Pilot names, nicknames or profile links on these pages (a username appears only inside the XContest flight links).
• Personal data of any kind beyond aggregated public flight metadata.

Contribution form

The form on site and takeoff pages sends your message by email through FormSubmit.co. If you offer yourself as a site manager or tutor, your name and contact are stored on this website and shown on the page of that place as the reference contact for other pilots (revealed on click). Other messages are reviewed; tips may be published without your name or personal contact, which are never published otherwise.

Third-party services

Maps load tiles from OpenStreetMap and Esri and the Leaflet library from unpkg.com; these servers see your IP address when your browser requests them. Flight links open xcontest.org.

Your rights

To have your flights left out of these pages (all flights of an XContest username, or single flights) or a published note removed, contact Show contact. Requests are handled within 30 days.
