Bus operators: charging and rotations under range and grid limits
Why the electric share of a bus fleet is limited by depot charging, winter range and rotations, and how a schedule can raise it.

Clean-bus quotas meet depot charging, winter range and rotations
What happens. Public buyers must now buy a rising share of clean and zero-emission buses (European Commission). The operators plan the fleet by the timetable: which bus runs which line, when it returns, when it charges. On cold days the range falls, and the depot’s grid connection limits how many buses can charge at once.
What it costs. Buses that run out of range, or an electric share that stays low because planners work with large safety margins. A larger grid connection or more buses than needed are the expensive way out.
Why the usual fix fails. Rotations drawn by hand work for the average day, not for the coldest one. Charging all buses at once on arrival makes a peak the connection cannot carry.
How a fixed-price remote diagnosis checks it. From timetables, trip energy data, depot meter data and the tariff, I check how rotations and charging could be planned together under the connection and range limits. The fixed-price remote diagnosis tells you how far the electric share can be raised with the vehicles and chargers you plan.
