Steam and drying energy is a large and rising cost
What happens. Industrial laundries heat water, make steam, dry in tumblers and iron in ironers. Energy is one of the largest costs after staff, and many laundries have been squeezed by the price rises of recent years.
What it costs. Heat that goes out through the chimney or the exhaust air, dryers that run on past the point where the linen is dry, and steam supplied at pressure and temperature the process does not need.
Why the usual fix fails. Dryers with a residual-moisture sensor help, but the sensors fail or drift and are often bypassed. A heat-recovery unit bought without a plan for when heat is available and needed delivers less than promised.
How a fixed-price remote diagnosis checks it. From energy meters, dryer and ironer logs and the production plan I check where steam and heat are used and how heat recovery could be scheduled. The fixed-price remote diagnosis shows whether control of dryers and ironers and a better use of recovered heat is worth the effort in your laundry.
